I have just done this myself and it was quite easy, and it will probably get easier with practice.

Hi girls,

As an alternative to a web site that just one of us would manage, this blog will allow us ALL to contribute 'Posts' with words and pictures.

Before you can add a 'Post', I will have to get my Blog administrator (!) to invite you all to join.
